![]() ![]() This collectible LEGO Star Wars set for adults makes a spectacular gift for yourself, another Star Wars fan or any advanced LEGO builder. (55 cm) long and comes with a buildable display stand featuring a plaque showing X-wing technical data and space for the new-for-May-2023 Luke Skywalker LEGO minifigure with his lightsaber. Channel the focus of a Jedi to recreate authentic details using LEGO® bricks, including the opening cockpit, space behind the cockpit for the R2-D2 LEGO droid figure, and wings that can be adjusted from flight mode into attack mode at the turn of a switch. Recall exciting scenes from the Star Wars™ trilogy and Star Wars: The Mandalorian as you build this stunningly detailed Ultimate Collector Series version of an X-Wing Starfighter (75355). I do love the X-wing, it's a really great fighter design and I'm excited to get building but please don't haul me over coals for missing specifications or getting things wrong, always keep in your mind 'he liked Solo'. So with that out there I can say without fear from criticism that this will be my first X-wing build and first Star Wars UCS set. I think I've talked about this before but I'm a much bigger fan of the TV shows and cartoons than the movies (thanks Bad Batch for making me cry!) and I'm not ashamed to admit I like Solo. I don't review many Star Wars sets and I don't have the fan-eye that can pick out all the details like I can for other themes. So I need to be honest out of the gate, I'm not the biggest Star Wars fan. Next something LEGO promised a while back but is finally here, a printed plaque, stickers we cast ye to hell! The other notable difference is the inclusion of a Luke minifigure in his Orange pilot outfit. Firstly a printed windscreen which is a huge improvement over 10240-1. This new rendition adds some vital details that will certainly please fans. The first UCS X-wing definitely needed an upgrade (even though it was a massive improvement on the first LEGO X-wing a year earlier) but 2013's X-wing was pretty solid and a lot of fans were hoping for a ship they'd not seen in UCS form already (Anakin's Podracer anyone?) Then we had another ( set 10240-1) 13 years later. The first ( set 7191-1) was one of the launch sets for the Ultimate Collectors Series in 2000. But it was surprising when LEGO announced the third UCS version. ![]() It surprises no one when we get yet another LEGO version ( we're up to 42 since 1999 according to our tagging system). The X-wing is one of the most iconic spacecraft in history. Can this rendition really offer anything new? Let's find out. We've had not just one but two others before. ![]() The A-wing first appeared in the 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, directed by Richard Marquand. The most recent entry in the Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series was meet with a bit of indifference. The A-wing deals high damage to enemy starfighters, but can't go up against Capital Ships due to its low health.Īvailable Components Primary Weapons It makes up for this by being extremely quick, with extremely high max speed, acceleration, and maneuverability, and having a very small frame. The A-wing has the second-lowest total health of any starfighter in Squadrons at 1,000, second only to the TIE Interceptor with 775. The A-wing is the smallest and fastest ship in the New Republic's lineup, specializing in chasing down enemy starfighters. Its weak hull and shields mean that it can't endure much damage, but its speed and maneuverability make it a difficult target to hit and allow it to fly circles around its opponents." Overview Main article: Interceptor While it is handy at taking out turrets on capital ships to clear the way for the heavy-hitters, the A-wing is better suited for forging ahead and tearing through enemy starfighters. "By far the fastest and most agile starfighter in the New Republic's lineup, the A-wing interceptor is built for dogfighting.
